Ben Staub

Ben joined Thorsen French as a partner in 2024, honored to work alongside Alec, Carl, and our clients to craft and notch bipartisan results.

Ben previously served as senior vice president of federal government affairs at the Motion Picture Association (MPA). He worked as MPA’s chief Democratic federal lobbyist for ten years, focusing on intellectual property, trade, tax, and appropriations policy before the U.S. Congress and executive branch.

Prior to MPA, Ben spent six years with the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on the Judiciary, staffing the committee on intellectual property and antitrust policy matters. Before that, he worked in political and corporate advertising.

Ben has volunteered with numerous political campaigns across the country and several youth and community groups in DC. He serves on the board of directors of the nonprofit social service organization Dwight Hall at Yale and is a founding board member of the Advocacy Council. He is an alumnus of the American Council of Young Political Leaders and earned his bachelor’s degree from Yale University. Ben grew up in Colorado and is an avid trail runner, skier, and alpine climber.
